The Clinical Immersion Program
3 Session In-Office Mini-Residency
This clinical residency is designed to take the guesswork out of transitioning from orthodontic theory to real-world application. Spanning three intensive weekends, this hands-on program bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and live clinical practice, turning concepts into reliable chairside skills.
(3 Sessions) Each session consists of 1 day of treatment planning, diagnosing and review of the patient cases to be treated by participants in the Skiatook clinic, including review of any current cases students are treating in their practices and/or any new orthodontic cases they are considering for treatment. And 1 day of treating orthodontic patients in clinic including making records for diagnosis; radiographs, photographs & scans including analysis, diagnosis & treatment planning, doing initial placement on new patients (as schedule allows), servicing existing patients, bonding brackets & cementation of bands, placing wires, using elastomeric and steel ligatures, etc., removing orthodontic appliances, and delivery of retainers.
Basic Straight Wire Orthodontics
The goal of this course is to prepare the student to successfully diagnose and treat Class I and Class II malocclusions in patients and acquire competence in providing such treatment. At the end of this course, each student should be proficient in basic orthodontics.
(5 Sessions); 100 CE credit hours; 100 additional CE credit hours of monitoring during the following year for AOS current members at no additional cost
Intermediate Straight Wire Orthodontics
The Intermediate course is a 4-session course. Each session consists of two days of hands-on and clinical lectures and a half-day devoted to reviewing the student’s current difficult cases and/or any new orthodontic cases being considered for treatment.
(4 Sessions); 80 CE credit hours; 80 additional CE credit hours of monitoring during the following year for AOS current members at no additional cost
Williams Update Weekends
The Williams Update Weekends are two-day weekend courses held once a year and are designed for doctors familiar with Straight Wire treatment, mechanics, and concepts. The focus of the program will be a hands-on approach to mechanics and techniques necessary to properly finish and detail cases. (16 CE credit hours)

Orthodontic Assistant Training Course
The Orthodontic Assistant Training Course is ideal for the dental practice that encourages cross-training and utilization of the staff to its maximum potential. The objective is to empower students to completely assist their doctors in everyday orthodontic practice.
